Informative updates and discussion for BCBS leadership

Overview

There's no way around physics. Lots of open lavalier mics in close proximity to the PA system creates challenges. To achieve appropriate sound levels on a relatively small stage not only requires thoughtful audio processing decisions, it calls for careful RF frequency coordination as well.

Our Approach

By leaning on the excellent pattern control of d&b audiotechnik's point source loudspeakers, we were able to minimize the amount of sound on stage. For additional gain-before-feedback, we also utilized intelligent source-enhancing and gain-distributing plugins on every microphone. The high wireless microphone channel count was made possible through the use of Shure's Axient Digital wireless system which allowed for careful RF coordination in a congested environment via Wireless Workbench. We also managed the run of show with a custom-built confidence monitor layout. Along with presenter notes, the screen displayed segment-specific timers to keep presentations running smoothly and adhering to the allotted times.
